Contraption requires your ability to convolute the most simplest of actions with an infinite array of steps! All you need is planning, innovation, efficiency in steps and use of materials to stay in the reckoning. Students of all technical branches can participate in the event.
Problem Statement Note:
You are free to choose any kind of energy conversions / electronic bits.
You can make a multi-step arrangement to perform the task.
Final task to be performed by series of step is raising the “Technorazz 2023” poster (just like a flag).
Minutiae:
Maximum number of teams: Two teams are allowed from an Institution/ University.
Number of participants should be four in a team.
The entire contraption should be within a 2m x 4m rectangle.
Once the first step has been initiated, intervention of any sort in the intermediate steps would lead to deduction in points.
Maximum of three trials would be allowed for each team.
Only three human interventions are allowed during the execution of task.
The total time taken for task should not exceed 10 minutes.
Contestants are responsible for removing their arrangement and any debris left after the completion of their round.
All the materials required for the contraptions should be brought by the corresponding team.
Judgment criteria:
Number of Steps involved, complexity of the series events, execution and use of waste products in tasks.
MIND FEST (GENERAL QUIZ)
The participating teams will face an elimination round. The first five teams will play in the final round comprising question-answers round (current affairs, category round, voice recognition round, clue based round and rapid fire round).
Minutiae:
Participation is open for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Maximum number of teams: Two teams per college/University.
Number of participants: Three participants per team.
Duration: 2 hours
Judgment criteria:
The acumen of the participants will be judged in the areas like current affairs, science and technology, tourism, sports, business and related areas. The Judgment of the Quiz Master will be final.
WAR OF WORDS (DEBATE)
Open to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Minutiae:
Maximum number of teams: One team per college/University.
Number of Participants: Two participants per team, one in favour and one against.
Duration: 5+1 minutes.
Judgment criteria:
Content, Presentation, Language and Arguments
ROBOTHON
The students of Diploma, B.Tech. and M.Tech. (All Branches) are invited to participate in the event “Robo–Race” to be held during Technorazz-2023.
Minutiae:
One team from each College/University is allowed.
Maximum number of participants: Three students per team.
Robot size shall not be more than 25* 20* 100 (L*B*H) cm 3.
Two Robots will compete at a time.
Robots will be put on the previous node after touching or leaving the race tracks during the competition.
The Maximum time of competition is 4 minutes for each team.
Judgment criteria:
Judgment will be based on distance travelled and time taken.
Smart Phone Movie
The Smartphone Film competition aims to push the boundaries of experimentation and imagination using the ubiquitous Smart phone.
Minutiae:
Maximum two teams are allowed from a college/university.
Maximum number of participants in a team: 6-8.
Movie must be made in the JNU campus by only smart phone camera.
Time duration of the movie should not be more than 3 minutes.
Participants can choose any theme for the movie but it should not be inappropriate in any sense.
Judgment criteria:
Act performed, message conveyed, creativity and uniqueness.
AD MANIA (ADVERTISEMENT MAKING)
The teams would be given a Product, Service or idea on the spot to build a T.V. or Commercial Ad. The Ad has to be completed with Artwork, Caption, Copy, Signature & other Add-ons. It will be the teams' prerogative to build a pure & Live Human act Ad.
Minutiae:
There will be two levels for competition: one for undergraduate and one for post graduate students.
Maximum number of teams: Two teams per college/University (at one level)
Number of participants: Maximum Five participants per team
There will be 8-10 minutes for preparation and five minutes for presentation.
In case participating team exceeds the time limit, this is prerogative right of judges to disqualify the team.
The teams are strictly advised not to disclose the name of their College/Institution /University to the jury members/ audience.
The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation etc. in advertisement.
The decisions of judges will be final.
